Barometer february 2025 - Coface

What will 2025 look like? This is the difficult question that Coface is attempting to answer in this first barometer of the year.

Although last year’s electoral uncertainties have (partially) dissipated, the horizon has not yet cleared, and risks have rarely been so present. As the world continues to fragment – even within blocs of countries that were once aligned – (geo)economic and financial risks abound in a year that is also expected to bring its share of surprises. At the forefront, of course, are the now inextricably linked economic and foreign policies of the new U.S. administration.
